What the session covers

Time together, not a photo shoot

I come with you, not the other way around.

We pick a place that means something, or I'll suggest a few — a quiet corner of Lake Wakatipu, a high-country road, a tussock ridge at golden hour. Then we walk, talk, and I photograph what happens: your hands finding each other, the wind, the laugh you didn't plan.

No forced poses, no long lists of setups. Just enough direction to help you forget the camera's there.

  • One to two hours, one or two locations
  • Golden hour light, chosen for the season
  • Full resolution gallery, yours to keep
  • Guidance on what to wear, if you want it

Questions

Before you book a session

Everything couples ask before their engagement shoot.

Still deciding?

Enquiries are answered within 24 hours.

How long does an engagement shoot take?

Usually one to two hours. That's enough time to settle in, move between a location or two, and catch the best of the light without the day feeling rushed.

Where do we shoot?

Anywhere across Queenstown and Central Otago that feels like you — lakeside, high country, a quiet trail, or somewhere closer to town. I'll suggest options based on the season and light, or we can use a place that already means something to you.

What should we wear?

Whatever feels like you. I'm happy to talk through colours and layers beforehand so nothing clashes with the landscape, but there's no strict dress code.

When will we see our photographs?

Your full gallery is delivered within four weeks of the shoot, ready to download and share.

Can we book an engagement shoot without booking a wedding?

Yes. Many couples book a session on its own, as a gift to each other or ahead of a destination wedding elsewhere.
